I have been preparing for the January 2011 Bridal Expo since last November and it came and went so quickly, I was so worried and stressed out for no reason! While I have planned numerous events in the past, this one was a bit different because I have never had to work with so many vendors and moving parts before. From the beginning, we had to reserve the space from Brad Buckles, owner of Brides Club. Brad was quite helpful being that this was my first time and all. He walked me through the steps on how we could get the best foot traffic and advised me on planning ahead to get the best rates. Thank you Brad! We are already starting to plan for next year!
Next, I worked with June from Attco Inc, she is an angel because she was able to process our order very quickly and helped us have Tacori Blue carpet and confirmed that we would have electricity!
On Friday, January 21st, the day went by so fast- Johnny the Mover came to help move all of our supplies and I had to rush over to the Blaisdell to meet them along with Accel Rental. What I have learned is that during expos and events, everyone uses Accel Rentals (so plan ahead)! At 1Pm, Scott and his team from Accel came to drop off all of our supplies, they helped us set up which was so nice since I was not able to lift the heavy showcases. At 2:00PM, Howard the Downtown Florist came by with a beautiful arrangement, all weekend long we received compliments!
Finally, at 3:00PM, I was able to put the finishing touches, and decorate our booth. Below is the final set up of the big day- What do you guys think?
At 5:00PM it was showtime! The doors opened and brides-to-be filled the room! The Wedding Ring Shop ran an enter to win promotion to win a $500 worth of Tacori 18k925 jewelry and a free engagement photo session valued ta $500 from Perfekt Photo. In case you are wondering, we are pulling the winner today!
We also wanted everyone that came to our booth to take a photo with their favorite piece of jewelry and pose in front of our Tacori poster. David from Perfekt Photo partnered with us and was our photographer for the event. Those who took a photo received it right away along with a WRS swag bag. Thank you to all those that came by our booth!
There are many people who had helped me out over the long weekend and I want to thank each and every one of them. I would not have made it if it was not a team effort!
Thank you so much for taking time out of your weekend to help out!
